ChatARV works inside the AI assistants you already use. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and you can run comps, open your saved reports and estimate repairs by asking in a chat. Everything you create there is saved to your ChatARV account, the same as in the web app.
What you can do
- Run comps on an address. The assistant shows a preview of the subject property so you can confirm it, then a card that follows the run and shows the finished report: after-repair value (ARV), confidence and the top comparable sales with photos.
- Revise a report. Change the search radius, the square footage range, the property type or the valuation method, or add instructions such as "only single-story comps". The revision is saved as a new version of the report.
- Open your saved reports. List your recent comp reports, open one and ask the assistant to walk you through its comps.
- See photos. View the photos of a report's subject property, or of any comp in it.
- Estimate repairs. Describe the condition of the subject property and get a repair cost breakdown by category, saved to the report.
- Check your usage. Ask how many comps you have used this billing cycle and how many are left.
Before you start
- You need a ChatARV account with an active plan. You sign in with it when you connect.
- Every comp run and every revision uses one comp from your account's monthly allowance. On a team, it comes from the team's shared allowance.
- ChatARV covers properties in the United States.
Connect ChatARV to Claude
From the Connectors directory
- In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, open Customize > Connectors.
- Select Discover and search for ChatARV.
- Open the ChatARV listing and select Connect to Claude.
- Sign in to ChatARV, then select Allow access.
On a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an organization Owner adds ChatARV for the organization first. Members then connect with their own ChatARV account.
By URL
If ChatARV doesn't appear in the directory for you yet, add it by its server address instead:
- Open Customize > Connectors and select Add custom connector.
- Enter
ChatARVas the name andhttps://www.chatarv.ai/mcpas the URL, then select Add. - Select Connect, sign in to ChatARV, then select Allow access.
Claude's Free plan allows one custom connector.
Claude Code
Run claude mcp add --transport http chatarv https://www.chatarv.ai/mcp, then run /mcp, choose chatarv and sign in to ChatARV in the browser window that opens.
Connect ChatARV to ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins and search for ChatARV.
- Add the ChatARV plugin.
- Sign in to ChatARV, then select Allow access.
If ChatARV isn't listed for you yet and your ChatGPT plan lets you add custom MCP servers, add one with the URL https://www.chatarv.ai/mcp and sign in the same way.
Other assistants
Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and other MCP clients that support remote servers can connect too. Add a server named chatarv with the URL https://www.chatarv.ai/mcp to the client's MCP settings, then use the client's connect or sign-in action to sign in to ChatARV in your browser. Signed-in ChatARV users can also copy ready-made setup instructions from Settings > Integrations in the ChatARV dashboard.
Signing in
When you connect, the assistant opens ChatARV's sign-in page. Sign in the way you normally do: email and password, Google, or an emailed sign-in link. ChatARV then shows a Connect screen naming the app that is asking for access and what it can see. Select Allow access to finish. You never enter your ChatARV password into Claude or ChatGPT.
What to ask
Ask in plain language. Some examples:
- "Run comps on [address]." The assistant usually shows a preview of the subject property first so you can confirm it. A comp run takes about 30 to 90 seconds.
- "Show me my most recent comp reports."
- "Open my report for [address] and walk me through the comps."
- "Re-run comps on that report within 1 mile." Or: "Re-run it with only single-story comps."
- "Show me photos of the subject property." Or: "Show me photos of the comp at [address]."
- "Estimate repairs for that report. The roof needs replacing and the kitchen is dated."
- "How many comps have I used this month?"
Good to know
- Reports you create from an assistant appear in your ChatARV dashboard. Select Open in ChatARV on a report card to open it there.
- A repair estimate is saved to its report and replaces the report's estimated repair cost.
- Your assistant may ask you to confirm before it runs comps, revises a report or estimates repairs, because those save to your account.
- You can open your own reports, and your team's if you're on a team. Reports from other accounts are refused.
Your data
The connector works only with your ChatARV account: your account details, your comp reports and their photos, and your repair estimates. It receives just what the assistant sends it to do a task, such as an address, a report or your instructions, and it doesn't read your conversations. How ChatARV handles your data is described in our privacy policy.
Disconnect ChatARV
- Claude: open Customize > Connectors, find ChatARV and remove it.
- ChatGPT: open Plugins, find ChatARV and disconnect it.
- Other assistants: remove the
chatarvserver from the client's MCP settings.
Troubleshooting
- "Monthly comp limit reached." Your account has used its comps for this billing cycle. Comp runs and revisions start working again when the next cycle begins.
- "Access denied to this comp report." The report belongs to a different ChatARV account. Check that you signed in with the right one.
- Signing in fails or keeps repeating. Remove ChatARV from the assistant, add it again and sign in once more.
